It has been so long since I have seen you or spoken to you! I miss you a great deal, and would love to see you soon to catch up! I don’t know if you’ve heard much of how last semester has completely changed my course and my life for the better. I was studying Music Direction in Theatre at Ball State University. I realized quickly that this was not the path I was meant to be on, and now I am a second semester freshman at Butler Univer…sity studying Music Education!
I wanted to take a moment to thank you for everything you have done for me. Throughout the many years I studied under you, you nurtured my love of music while improving my technique and abilities within music and piano. If it weren’t for you, I would not have fallen into the path of music education that I am on now. I feel truly blessed to say that I know you and have studied under you.
I would also like to give a warm congratulations for the astounding international success Tales of a Musical Journey has seen! You have become a (rightfully) well-renowned pedagogue. I wish you the best as you continue to inspire future and current teachers from all around the world.
Finally, on the subject of Tales of a Musical Journey. I am meeting a young girl and her mother tonight – my first prospective student! If you would allow it, I would love to use your method with this prospective student of mine! I’ve been browsing your website, and will be purchasing all of the books and supplemental materials necessary. Additionally, I would like to include your name and website link on my information sheet, so that the mother I am meeting tonight will be able to see that your method is internationally successful.
Thank you again for everything – words cannot even describe how grateful I am to you, and how much I wish to repay you for the years of dedicated pedagogy you gave to me. I owe a large part of my passion for music and education to your teaching, and want to spread this passion to future generations!
